UK Cancer and Advanced Ambulatory Building Project

UK Breaks Ground on New Cancer and Advanced Ambulatory Building

The 550,000-square-foot facility will become the new home to the UK Markey Cancer Center, Kentucky's only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as a Comprehensive Spine Center, ambulatory surgery space and other outpatient services.  The Cancer and Advanced Ambulatory Building and an adjacent 2,400-space parking structure are slated for completion in 2027.

Turner-UK Construction Diversity Accelerator Launches Cohort 3

LEXINGTON, Ky.  (March 25, 2024) - The Turner-UK Construction Diversity Accelerator (CDA) welcomed cohort three in March with an opening reception at the UK Cornerstone. This year’s cohort has 20 businesses located across Kentucky. The program is a partnership between Turner Construction, the University of Kentucky and the Kentucky Apex Accelerator.

Led by Barry Swanson, UK's chief procurement officer, and Marilyn Clark, UK's first economic inclusion manager, the initiative strives to expand UK's economic development efforts by providing support for diverse suppliers and Kentucky-located businesses.

University of Kentucky to Create Equity Map of Central Kentucky with $31,500 Grant
